This friend of mine was a life saver. If only he would said anything sooner, before I spent so many hours talking to myself in front ogf my computer.
He showed me two Guild Wars 2 Guides:

I knew there had to be some decent guides out there, and turns out these are the most popular ones on the internet.
A Word of caution: I was a bit sad to find out that neither of these guides had a specific section dedicated to buying gold and how to get more gold in GW2.
But, after a little digging and browsing around the members area, I discovered that the part about the gold was included in the leveling guide for each separate character. Which i found to be very convenient.
A few tips for getting More Gold
There are different ways how you can get Guild Wars 2 gold to continue playing:
Gathering
At the start of the game, it is important to pick up gathering tools from merchants and master craftsmen. They are identified as the characters with coins over their heads in the map. When you start playing Guild Wars 2, you will only have enough gold to purchase 2 gathering tools so choose wisely. After purchasing gathering tools, start to gather everything you can.
Trading Post?
The is an important part of the game that is often overlooked. When you're about to dispose of an item in the game, instead of selling it back to the merchant, use the trading post. Do research about what an item is really worth before you trade it so that you can earn more profit from it.
Crafting?
Crafting is another way if you want to earn gold while playing the game. It also helps you gain XP and some crafted items can help you earn a big profit. Just be sure to do research on the trading post to see how much the mats you are gathering are selling for.
Crafting may be a big expense at the beginning, but it will be worth it when you're patient enough.
